The final two rounds 5 & 6 of the 1967 GP of Canada Proxy came to a climax with an unplanned double header at the Cornwall Autodrome, hosted by Marek and the rest of the West Island Montreal and Cornwall Racing and Supper Club (WIMC). The final round of the TransAm Proxy was ran in Colorado at Palmer Divide Raceway.  The Kelowna cars in the O2 class all finished in the top twenty with Lez finishing 5th, Rob 10th and Randy 16th.  Lez’s car in the U2 class finished a fantastic 4th in the small car class.  Lez had a great weekend with his car’s results in all Proxies that were ran this past weekend! … More TransAm Proxy Final Round

The second round of the Group 5 Proxy was ran in Auburn, Washington at the Willow Park track.  This four lane 51 foot copper taped track is typically set at 10 volts of power.  The Kelowna cars ran well with Lezlie finishing 4th place, Rob 5th place, and Leo 15th place.  The Group 5 Proxy is still fairly young this season so no car looks unbeatable yet. … More Group 5 Proxy Round #2

The world’s fastest proxy started off with a bang in Maple Ridge, BC at Roger’s beautiful newly built MDF track running at 10 volts.  The cars were flying and very well driven to achieve maximum laps for the fantastic cars in this proxy.  Earlier in the day the three local Kelowna cars  performed very well in qualifying, all three Kelowna cars ended up in the top six qualifying.    The race itself was live streamed on YouTube showcasing the great driving skills of the lower mainland drivers.  At the end of the day Rob finished on the podium tied for 2nd with his BMW M1, Leo’s BMW M1 finished 11th, and Lez’s BMW M1 in 14th … More Group 5 Proxy Round #1

Round #9 of the TransAM proxy was ran November 5th in Irvine, California at the Pebblestone Model Car Circuit. The Kelowna TransAM cars in the O2 class performed very well again with Rob’s 1970 Camaro finishing on the podium in second place, Lez’s 1969 Camaro in eleventh place, and Randy’s Barracuda finishing in the twentieth position. Round #3 of the Ford vs Porsche Proxy brought the cars to River Hills Raceway in Lancaster PA. The Kelowna fellas had a mixed bag of results with Lez’s GT40 finishing 14th at 29.875 laps and Rob’s GT40 at 27.5 laps.
