Round #8 was ran August 12th on the Targa track in Burnaby BC.   The Targa track was recently rebuilt into a three lane 80.5 foot track with no squeezes.

Round #7 of the Trans AM proxy brought the cars home to Kelowna to race on Lezlie’s Canalami track.   Qualifying was ran on the Thursday afternoon with Lezlie driving  while Rob and Randy marshalled and record kept.  Once qualifying was done the cars were grouped into three’s for the race day.  Sunday July 2nd brought eight KSCC regulars out for the actual race, so grateful for all the help!   The drivers and marshals all did a fabulous job, a number of cars were very surprisingly quick and easy handling with fast lap times in the mid six second range.  After a long five hours of racing all 45 cars we completed Round #7! … More Trans AM Proxy Round #7 Kelowna

The TransAm Proxy Round #6 was held in Edmonton on their Club’s 76 foot long track.  Edmonton’s track is a very fast four lane track where the cars could really open up their speed.    Dariusz our host did a great job reporting and included live video of all the action…..proxy reporting at its best!   Kelowna’s cars did very well again with all three O2 class cars finishing in the top ten….absolutely fantastic in this huge field!  

In the U2 class Lezlie’s Cortina finished 5th another fantastic result!

Round #5 of the 2017 TransAm proxy was underway this past weekend in Ontario on Bob Chapman’s track in Picton Ontario.   
The Kelowna cars did well again in the 46 car field….Rob – 4th,  Randy – 8th, and Lez 12th in the O2 class.  In the U2 class Lez’s Cortina finish 6th … More TransAm Proxy Round #5 Ontario

The Group 5 cars made their way to the final round at the Killarney track in Chilliwack owned by “F1Fan” Chris. A great amount of work was done for this round as video was live streamed on YouTube for both the qualifying and race. Heli_ca from Edmonton had the fastest qualifying lap time of 3.815s and also won the race with the fantastic BMW 320i he built.

The Group 5 proxy arrived in Kelowna at the Quail Ridge Speedway track after a fantastic Calgary run round. WOW a big surprise win for Kelowna in Calgary! The Group 5 Proxy stopped for a race at the Rocky Mountain Racers Club on their Silverado track in Calgary. The Calgary fellas did a great job streaming both the qualifying and racing on Facebook.
