Tensions were very high at the Tronson track this past weekend. The top two in all four classes were separated by fractions of a lap. Other positions were very close as well to create a very competitive day to determine the final outcome. Rob took the overall score for 1st, Leo in 2nd, and Lez finished in 3rd very close behind Leo. The next three positions were so close….Henry and John tied at 4th and Henning in 6th separated by only a single point all three racers. Matt finished in 7th and Don K in 8th. Nine racers competed at MID-BC for the chance to be MID-BC champion. Once the dust settled Rob came out on top, Leo finished second overall thanks to a solid finish in Group C, Lez finished third. Race #3 at Rogers raceway brought out a lot of side by side fast racing with some bad luck experienced by all that determined final placements. Rob held onto first overall after a great Modern Slot.it finish as Henry struggled in that class which ended up being the difference. Henry in second overall and Dariusz passed Leo to finish third overall thanks to a great final race with his NSR Corvette. After last week’s fun and competitive Trans AM Proxy at Henning’s track, the racing shifted over to Race #1 at MID-BC Speedway. Overall Rob finished 1st, Dariusz 2nd, and we had a tie for 3rd with Henry & Lez. If it was not for a disastrous Trans AM race for Dariusz he would of been battling for first overall. Shout out to Don K who joined us last season and had an excellent day of racing finishing a very solid 6th overall. It was very nice to see our friend Gert stop by to race for the first time since the 2012 /13 season. The Kelowna Classic Le Mans Enduro was resurrected for the end of our 2024 -25 season and what a race it was! Three major breakdowns resulted in a lot of lost laps for three racers. Ken lost about 50 laps after the guide holder on his Fly GT40 chassis broke during a 4 minute heat in the 63 – 69 era race. Ken luckily was able to somewhat glue the guide holder together and re-enter the race. Matt lost a wheel in the 63 – 69 era race during a 12 minute heat and the repair took a bit of time costing Matt about 45 laps. The last major breakdown was John catching a piece of lead in his Fly Porsche 908 locking the front wheels causing the car to run sluggish until the problem was finally discovered causing John to lose about 7 laps in a 1963-69 era 4 minute heat . … More Classic Le Mans V – MID-BC
