Thanks Henning for hosting Race #7. This race had so many close results between positions – Group C half a lap between the top three and the difference between fourth and fifth was only 0.2 of a lap. John and Matt tied not once but twice in IROC and Pre 1974 Classic Endurance….now that is close! The fuel came into play with a few results too….It bit Lez pretty hard in the Group C with running out of gas and two critical crashes to knock him out of the Group C contention when he was leading. Congrats to Rob, Don, and Lez for the Race#7 podium! A great day of racing at the Autodromo Beira Lago. Rafael hosted his first race and it was a blast, thanks Rafael! Lots of close racing along with some parts bouncing down the roadway. Congratulations to Rob, Leo and Lez for the podium and a shout out to Rafael for the fourth place finish squeaking ahead of Henning and Richard by a hair! Thanks Richard for hosting a very competitive and fun Race #5. This race day was very close between most positions and as each class finished final positions was constantly changing. Rob took the DCMR first place title only thanks to somehow winning the final two class to overtake Henry and Richard. Rafael took the DCMR Drivers Trophy with a great display of consistent driving. Sunday’s racing brought us way up north to Vernon’s Predator Speedway. The question leading up to Sunday was could anyone knock off Ken who has never lost on Predator Speedway and has a fill of Baby Duck after every race meeting! This Summer of 2019 will always be remembered as the year Lez’s Canalami Raceway moved from Glenmore to it’s new home in West Kelowna belonging to Kevin G. Wow what a fantastic end to our season with the fourth running of the Classic Lemans! Congratulations to Lezle for the grueling win! Lezlie’s Lola T70 is a custom car with a livery that looks like it would of raced in the classic time period plus a custom self made chassis underneath the Fly Lola T70 body. For Lez there was a moment with a mechanical issue in the final set but a minor body tweak was the issue and no major problem otherwise his car ran smooth and fast! Rob’s Porsche 908/3 managed to pass Don’s Ferrari 412 for second place in the first set of heats and hung in there somehow to stay 3 laps in front of Don at the end set of heats. Congrats to the podium Lez, Rob, and Don. The rest of the field had a lot of close inner races congratulations to all for building great cars that lasted for the entire 3 hours of racing with distances travelled over 20 miles on our cars…well done boys! … More Classic Le Mans IV
