Round 8 was ran March 25th at the Circuits of Silverado by the Rocky Mountain Racers RMR. Things looked promising for Leo as he was the top qualifier but it turned out his car was a bit of a handful and Leo’s #62 BMW M1 finished 15th. The 2018 Trans Am proxy round #1 was ran in Colorado March 3rd at the Palmer Divide Raceway. A huge congratulations to local racer Randy for finishing first with his Dodge Challenger and to Lez for finishing 16th with his Camaro. The Touring car proxy continued on a second track in Edmonton belonging to Leon Luke. Leon’s track is a 110 foot Scalextric four lane track with a variety of corners and long straights. The Group 5 proxy stopped at Cornwall Ontario’s Autodrome track after running a few rounds in the USA. Lez did the best of the Kelowna cars finishing 14th but Leo and Rob’s cars finished in the last two positions. Congrats to Lez and hopefully the other two Kelowna cars have no issues. Nine racers gathered at the QRS track for part 1 of the 2018 Kelowna Classic Le Mans. Racers were split into three groupings, congrats to Rob, Henry, & Rafael for winning their 15 minute race groups and to Lez, Leo, & Henning for winning their 45 minute groups. The final regular season race of the 2017/18 season was held at the Tronson Model Speedway. The Golden Cobra was won by Rob unifying all the trophies to Team Okanagan North…..the good side! Haha just kidding!
