2025 Kelowna Classic Le Mans V race will be held on March 23rd at MID-BC. The winner will be the driver who completes the most total laps at the end of the race day with both cars.
Eligible Le Mans cars Entrants will choose one car from each era that raced at Le Mans during the years 1962-69 and 1970-73. Only racing livery of cars with a Le Mans livery or race liveries with the vintage “look” during this era will be allowed.
A list of cars is included for both eras of cars. The split will have each group running together and not look too out of place. Aerodynamics took hold of car shapes from about 1970 onwards and the cut off date is 1973.
Cars not on the list – If there is a car that competed in Le Mas during the time that is not on the list, we would be open to considering eligibility providing it met all the requirements including being scale appropriate. The cars we are looking for are generally the sports / prototype cars and not the lower classes like the Capri’s etc. FYI – The Porsche 908/3 & Alfa Romeo 33-3 models are left off the list as they do not have the lens covers and reflectors the Le Mans cars required.
Cars will be inspected March 23rd at MID-BC before the race. Any infringements of the rules or intent will be pointed out and entrants will have the opportunity of bringing their car into compliance. If there are any questions, it’s important to bring your car to MID-BC in advance of the race or just simply ask questions by email with photos attached. Entries will start to be accepted on Monday January 27th by email. Early submission is important as no duplicate liveries will be accepted. Will allow up to two cars being same colour but different numbers (two red Ferrari 330P’s for example) but would not allow a third red Ferrari.
It is important to submit your car choice per era in early as this will secure your choice up to the point when a finished car can be presented as “final” entry. One car choice per era, car choices can be dropped to bring in new choices.

RACE RESULTS!
The Kelowna Classic Le Mans Enduro was resurrected for the end of our 2024 -25 season and what a race it was! Three major breakdowns resulted in a lot of lost laps for three racers. Ken luckily was able to somewhat glue the guide holder together and re-enter the race. Matt lost a wheel in the 63 – 69 era race during a 12 minute heat and the repair took a bit of time costing Matt about 45 laps. The last major breakdown was John catching a piece of lead in his Fly Porsche 908 locking the front wheels causing the car to run sluggish until the problem was finally discovered causing John to lose about 7 laps in a 1963-69 era 4 minute heat .
